About Community Associations

The City of Regina is divided into five zones for programming purposes. The five zones are further divided into smaller community associations. The Boothill Community Association is one of 28 community associations found in the City of Regina. The boundaries of the association are the Ring Road to the east, Broadway Avenue to the north, Macdonald Street to the west and Douglas Park to the south (see maps and pics).

A community association has many roles in the community:

- The association identifies local recreation needs and conduct programs to meet those needs.

- Coordinating volunteers in conducting recreation/leisure programs.

- Through newsletters and community signs, communication with association members.

- Evaluating programs and their worth to the community- Maximizing the use of local facilities.

- Represent communities concern as related to recreation, urban planning and     development,  transit, etc
