Meenakshi Manocha is a Canadian Indian artist who was born and raised in New Delhi,
India (a land of historical significances). She moved to Canada in year 2009 after
her husband got transferred from his company and revived her passion of paintings.
Painting was her passion since childhood and was converted into formal education by completing the Master’s degree in Drawing & Painting. She also completed her education in teaching and has over 7 years of experience in teaching arts, crafts, drawing & painting to children from Grade 1 to 10 in India.
Meenakshi loves to work in all styles, mediums and delve through many subjects and then draw conclusions at her own pace. Her art is the preservation of culture and traditions that leads to harmony in diversity. Meenakshi loves to work with a range of subjects. Her vibrant work explores the themes of Indian folk art, mythological, dreams, nature etc. Her painting style includes but not limited to figurative, abstracts and realistic. She loves doing painting with all different medium like oil, watercolours, pastels, pen & ink but her favourite is acrylics
Art for me like for many other people became the most meaningful part of life and a source of much fun and relaxation. . I hope that my paintings serve as a channel of expression and help the viewer understand my inner conflicts, fears, and tensions as well as my aspirations, hopes, and ideals.
Meenakshi has been member of Brushworks Art guild, Aurora Art Guild and Art Gallery of Regina since 2014.
