The Canadian Association of Social Workers in Health Administration (CASWHA) is a national organization committed to excellence in the management and delivery of social work services in health care. Leadership is exemplified by establishing standards of practice, advocacy, and fostering the professional development of members through education, research and networking.

- Regular Newsletters - Long time CASWHA members will assure you that the arrival of CASWHA's newsletter, Connections, provides you with the latest happenings across Canada impacting on social work in health care. Connections also highlights the key happenings of the CASWHA board and focuses on sharing of strategies among colleagues.
- Standards of Social Work Practice - CASWHA develops standards of practice for social work in health care. These standards focus on the ethical challenges to practice and are informative and comprehensive. They are formatted so they can be of practical assistance to you. As new standards are developed, they will be forwarded directly to you.
- Reduced Rates - At CASWHA conferences.
WHO CAN JOIN?
Eligibility
You are eligible for membership if you are a qualified Social Worker presently employed in a health setting, (hospital, community health, long-term care facility, home care, etc) and you meet one of the membership criteria listed below:
MEMBERSHIP CATEGORIES:
- Full Membership: ($125.00 per year)
- (a) Social Workers whose responsibility is or includes the leadership/management/coordination of Social Work Services in Health. For example, Discipline Leaders, Professional Practice Coordinators, Sole Charge Social Workers, Social Work Directors, Assistant Directors, Team Leaders, Managers, Supervisors, Coordinators; or
- (b) Social Workers whose responsibility is or includes the management/coordination of Health Services. For example, Program Managers, Senior Managers; or
- (c) Social Workers who are Social Work Consultants involved with the delivery of Social Work in Health; or
- (d) Social Workers who are responsible for education, research and/or policy specific to Health Care.
- Associate Membership: ($45.00 per year)
