Jesus said, "I am come that you might have life and that more abundantly". The Bible teaches that in order to have that New Life we must receive Christ, trusting in Him by faith, as our Savior. That is we must truly become a Christian.

To become a Christian one must: recognize the need (I am a sinner); turn from rebellion against God (repentence); and accept Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. This decision must be made with sincerity within one's own mind and heart. It is good to verbalize your commitment in a prayer such as this:

Dear Lord Jesus, I confess that I have come short of what you would have for me and need your forgiveness. Thank you for taking my sin upon yourself and dying for me. I turn from my old ways and ask that you forgive my sins and be my Savior. I ask that your Holy Spirit take control of my life and enable me to live for you. Thank you for saving me and giving me life. I pray in Jesus' name. Amen.
