HISTORY

"Forgiven" started out as a worship team in a local Regina church in 1994. In 1995 "Forgiven" began ministering in prisons. The experience caused us to change directions as we decided that outreach was our ministry, and we've never looked back! In 1995, the ministry became incorporated and became a registered charity. The members of the band now consist of people from (but not representing), different Christian churches and denominations in the City. The board of directors also consists of people from (but not representing) different Christian churches and denominations. The majority of the music "Forgiven" uses for ministry are songs that we have written ourselves. The style is what we call "evangelistic worship". Personal testimonies or messages are given by various band members . At this point in time "Forgiven" consists of a lead male vocal on acoustic guitar, a lead female vocal on keyboard, a background vocal who plays lead guitar, a drummer, and a soundman. "Forgiven" travels to various prisons in and outside of Saskatchewan o n a regular basis, and corresponds by letter with the inmates if they so desire. "Forgiven" also ministers in churches (mainly for outreach, but also fills in for worship teams), church youth retreats and events, parks, soup kitchens, outreach centres, and City wide Christian events, and National conferences. We will go where ever God would want us to go. Our greatest desire is to be used by God in reaching the lost, and leading people into worship. Our funding comes from personal donations and through mon ies raised by selling "Forgiven" T-Shirts. We have just recorded a live Album which is available on CD and tape.
