The Queen of Peace Centre is a Catholic Lay Apostolate in unity with the Holy Father Pope John Paul II, faithful to the Magisterium within the church, and has a spiritual advisor.  Volunteers serve to foster special devotions to Mary, the Mother of God  who intercedes for us.  We make known the requests of  Lourdes, Fatima, and Medjugorje for the purpose of spreading the Gospel of Jesus.  We promote more time in prayer and Eucharistic Adoration and are involved in parish and community service.  A Mission Statement is available with more detailed information.  The Queen of Peace Centre also invites members to volunteer their time, but most of all their prayers.   As a non-profit registered  charitable organization, tax receipts are issued.   We operate mainly on donations and appreciate financial support.

The Centre was inspired by events in Medjugorje, a small Croatian village in Bosnia and Hercegovina, where it is believed by many people that, Mary, the Mother of God, is appearing to six visionaries.  Her call to conversion and return to God was heard particularly by the founders of the Centre.  After they returned from pilgrimages to Medjugorje, they wanted to continue to pray together and spread this call further.

We realize that these events are not yet recognized by the Church.   They belong to the area of private revelation and it is not necessary for salvation to believe in them.   The Church will decide if and when it is appropriate to declare whether these events are authentic or not, and we will be obedient to that decision.  Also, we will be sensitive and respectful of  those who choose not to believe in apparitions.

In the meantime, members of the Centre wish to respond to the call of  Mary, our Mother, to prayerfully listen to Her and with God's grace respond more deeply to His love for us.  We also dedicate this Centre to Mary, Queen of Peace.  We thank Her and place ourselves into Her  hands as She leads us to Her Son, Jesus.
