Skills For Adolescence [SFA]

Skills for Adolescence is a Lions-Quest International curriculum which provides opportunities for young people to gain skills in getting along with others, communicating effectively, problem solving, and critical thinking. A strong intent of the program is to prepare young people for successes.

There are two program areas a young person can participate in. Each program area is a 8 hour curriculum which occurs once a week for four weeks. The program areas are:

  1. Communication and self Awareness
Group activities explore effective communication skills through practical learning techniques. Session material is based on the concept of self-confidence: Felling appreciated, being responsible, and developing skills.
  2. Decision making and Goal Setting
Group activities focus on developing the critical thinking and decision making skills needed to make choices in life.

Groups are offered on Thursdays form 6:45 pm - 8:45 pm. For upcoming program start dates, or to make a registration, contact the Program Coordinator at (306) 757-9743
