Skills for Adolescence is a Lions-Quest International curriculum which provides opportunities for young people to gain skills in getting along with others, communicating effectively, problem solving, and critical thinking. A strong intent of the program is to prepare young people for successes.
There are two program areas a young person can participate in. Each program area is a 8 hour curriculum which occurs once a week for four weeks. The program areas are:
- Communication and self Awareness
Group activities explore effective communication skills through practical learning techniques. Session material is based on the concept of self-confidence: Felling appreciated, being responsible, and developing skills.
- Decision making and Goal Setting
Group activities focus on developing the critical thinking and decision making skills needed to make choices in life.
