There are many wonderful people in the world.  They are kind, generous, loving and have no problem at all doing good deeds to people who are around them.  Many attend church...infact, sad to say,  we may even attend church to bring a sense of calm to our otherwise troubled heart.  However, after leaving the church, some of those difficulties, guilt of sin, chase us even after we have left the church.

God makes the point, that nothing "we ourselves" do, can ever bring the peace or remove the guilt of sin from our lives.  We can NOT find salvation in ourselves.  Listen to what the Bible says:

"  There is salvation in no one else!  Under all heaven there is no other name for men to call up to save them..."  (Acts 4:12)  Jesus Christ is the only answer!  He said:  " I am the Way, the Truth, and the life...no man comes to the Father except bymeans of  me."  (Living Bible John 14:6)

Others feels that through their own efforts they can build a bridge to God..........

"  Salvation is not a reward for the good we have done, so none of us can take any credit for it.  It is God himself who has made us what we are and gives us new lives from Christ Jesus;  and long ages ago He planned that we should spend these lives in helping others."  (Ephesians 2:9,10  Living Bible)

" The time came for the kindness and love of God our Saviour to appear, then he saved us, no because we were good enough to be saved, but because of His  kindness....by washing our sins away and giving us the new joy of the indwelling Holy Spirit........all because of what Jesus Christ our Savior did so that  He could declare us good in God's eyes."  (Titus 3: 5-7  Living Bible)
