3) 2002 Tri-Community Neighbourhood Watch Programs:

A) Neighbourhood Watch Web Page:( www.accesscomm.ca/nonprofits/rmrca/nw )

This is the 4th year for the web site, we have established this site so our members may obtain

information on neighbourhood watch in our community. The site contains area maps, all newsletters, all AGM reports contact list, crime stats for all 3 areas for 1998, 1999 , 2000 2001& 2002 and a bulletin area for notices. Please visit our site and let us know what you think.

For more information please contact Steve at 949-1370.

B) Neighbourhood Newsletter:

In an effort to get information out to the members we have published 3 newsletters with the

RMRCA . These newsletters list upcoming events, meetings, problems and concerns, safety

tips and articles from policeand the city. For more information please contact Steve at 949-1370.

C) RMRCA Spring Festival , Dieppe Hot Dog Sale and N.H. Watch wind-up:

The Watch has entered a display booth at both the RMRCA Spring Festival and the Dieppe

Community Assoc. hot dog sale. Free neighbourhood watch information and bicycle code was

offered. This seems to be a positive way of promoting the watch and we have recieved good

feed back from the public at the events.

D) Neighbourhood Watch Patrol:

Over the year 2002, the patrol has reported several problems to the police that have occurred in

the community. This helped reduced the problems and damage in our park and community.

We will continue to patrol this spring to fall with the new patrolers trained, but to make the

program more effective we will require more patrollers. All patrollers must be a neighbourhood

watch member in good standing, must be 18 years of age, a resident of Regina, be of good

character, pass a police security check and pass all required training.

Contact Judy/Dennis at 545-8059 for more information.

E) Neighbourhood Watch general meetings :

5 general and executive meeting were presented to the members of our communities.

The dates were published in our newsletter and on the N.H.Watch web page.

The attandance has varied from low to medium.
