PETITION FOR COMMUNITY POLICE CENTRE

The tri-community neighbourhood watch is working on a petition to establish a community police centre in the Dieppe / Mount Royal & Rosemont area.  This centre will serve all the area members policing needs as well as supplying other community services. The petition is now in many of the local businesses in the community. The existing block captains have received a copy for their members to sign. Please make an effort to sign the petition. Please return all petitions to the address on top of the sheet by January 31,1999 so it may be presented to city council in the new year.  For more information contact Steve at 949-1370.


OPERATION I.D.

Tri-community journal, 20 electric engravers are now available for a two week loan to allow you to engrave your valuables with your Saskatchewan Drivers license number . With Christmas here it would be wise to book the use of the engraver as soon as possible. It has been proven to deter theft and assist police in the recovery and identification of stolen property and securing conviction of a criminals.

NEIGHBOURHOOD WATCH PATROL

After a successful trial of neighbourhood watch patrol this September and October we are now finalizing the details such as NHW patrol vests, liability insurance through the Regina city wide Neighbourhood Watch and develop patrol times for the volunteers that have received training.  We will be gathering more applications from the many members of the neighbourhood watch in the tri-community area.

All patrollers must-be a NHW member in good standing, must be 18 years of age, a resident of Regina, be of good character, pass a police security check and pass all required training. Contact Judy at 545-8059.


CHILD ID CLINIC

This clinic is open to children ages 1 to 16 years of age.  Parents must attend and have ID (drivers license and Sask. Health Service Card).  Your children will be finger printed and all physical information recorded by Child Find in a book that you can place current school pictures.  This program will allow you to give the police the information that they require to locate and ID your children if they are involved in an abduction.  To book a seat at this clinic please contact Judy at 545-8059.


NEVER BE A VICTIM CLINIC

This Clinic is open to children ages 6 to 12 years of age.  Parents must attend.

The objective of this program is to street proof the family on proper safety procedures by the use of special video presentation and workshop.  To book a seat at this clinic please contact Steve at 949-1370.


WOMAN ALONE CLINIC

This clinic is open to all women of the Tri-Community area.  The objective of this clinic & workshop is to inform & educate women of actions to avoid and successfully deal with the urban problems intoday's society.  To book a seat at this clinic please contact Judy at 545-8059.


SENIOR CITIZEN PROTECTION CLINIC

This clinic is open to all retired members of the Tri-Community Area.  The objective of this clinic is to educate seniors in action & strategies that can help prevent them from being a victim of a criminal act.  This 2 hour clinic covers all areas of today’s life.  To book a seat for this clinic please contact: Steve at 949-1370 or Dennis at 545-8059.


EMERGENCY PREPARATION CLINIC

RAILWAY SAFETY CLINIC

This clinic is open to members of all ages in our community.  The objective of this clinic is to educate the public on the issue of railway safety in the community.  This informative program is presented by the Canadian National Railway. To book a seat please contact Dennis at 545-8059.
