2001 Tri-Community Neighbourhood Watch Programs

BACK LIGHT ALLEY PROJECT

In an effort to make the back alleys safer for our community we would like to ask all household owners to do two things:

1) Please leave your lights during the evening, especially the lights at the back of your garage or house.  This would make it easier to see possible trouble on your property and allow the police to check out problems quicker and safer.

2) Please place your street name and house number on the rear of your garage or back fence facing the alley, this will allow emergency personnel to report their position to the dispatch centre when there is a problem in your back alley.

National Identifiable Property Database TEST AREA PLANNED FOR TRI-COMMUNITY AREA:

In an effort to reduce the number of break and enters in our community we will be promoting the N.I.P.D. program in select areas during January 2001.  This program will allow the police to check through the use of the Internet.

Speed Watch

During the spring, summer and fall of 2001 we will be assisting Normanview West speed watch in their speed watch awareness program.  It is our hope that we can reduce the speeding factors in our community.  For more information contact Stan at 545-2861.
