Bird Alert

After many years of service, Nature Regina's Bird Alert line is being shut down, effective January 2012. This service has maintained by Dean and Miriam Richert for the past 24 years, and Nature Regina gives them a well-earned Thank You. The Society has decided that the cost of a phone line and voice mail service could no longer be justified. The most important ongoing need is for a way to find out if field trips are being cancelled or changed, and we will have purchased an answering machine so that our field trip coordinator, Lauren Mang, can provide this information on her home phone.

Checklist of the Birds of A. E. Wilson Park

Long-time Nature Regina member Sandy Ayer moved to Calgary a few years ago, but when he lived in Regina he spent a lot of time in A.E. Wilson Park. Over many years, he maintained a list of birds he observed in the park, and he sent us a checklist based on his observations.
