SELF-MANAGED PROGRAMS

The Self-Managed Programs were designed by families who had dreams and expectations for their children, which did not fall into the mainstream services provided for persons with disabilities.

Families and/or support committees have developed independent living arrangements for each participant and the government provides funds for live in care providers/roommates.  These programs receive additional funding to facilitate community support tailored to each participants needs in the areas of social, vocational and recreational activities.  The goal of the Self-Managed Programs is to see each individual obtain the highest level of independence and quality of life possible.

RRRC is currently operating two Self-Managed Programs involving four individuals and their families.
