The Saskatchewan Veterans'
Incorporated is a non-profit organization formerly known as the Disabled Veterans
Association. Basically we are a private club with a membership of approximately
300 people. It is not necessary for a member to be a veteran, or to have
had military service. Initial membership cost is $15.00. If you
are a veteran, second year cost drops to $10.00. If you are a senior as
well, membership is $8.00. Non veterans pay $15.00 to start, and $15.00
per year after that.
The SVI consists of a small
lounge, which is in the lower level of the building. We pride ourselves
on good service and on keeping prices reasonable. We also have Saturday
night dances every second Saturday for no charge! There are frequent
suppers and special functions, such as Hallowe'en and Christmas parties for
children and grandchildren of members.
There is a hall for rent here at the SVI also. This hall will seat up to 160 people comfortably. It is available for weddings, meetings, and other events. Dancers love it because of the beautiful hardwood floor, one of only two remaining in the city of Regina. Please call 757-1577 for pricing information and availability.
