M.J. Coldwell Public School M.J. Coldwell school was the first school in the Uplands community. Mr. Coldwell was an outstanding educator and politician. He served
as a teacher and principal from 1919 to 1935. He was elected nine times
to the Regina City Council and was then elected as a Member of Parliment
for the Rosetown-Bigger constituency. M.J. Coldwell was a universally
respected parlimentarian and a highly respected individual in the development
and growth of the Saskatchewan teaching profession.
