Aurora accepts members who work in two-dimensional mediums. All of our work is original and one-of-a-kind pieces. If you are interested in joining the guild, please contact our president, Jan Crook, for availability and to be put on a wait list.
Our season is from September through to the end of May. We meet in First Baptist Church. Our meetings are at 7:00 p.m. and are usually held on the first Monday of the month.
Each member is expected to volunteer his or her time during the year in some capacity toward the production of each show. This could be working on a committee, setting up and taking down for the show, working during the shows, offering a piece for a prize draw, and/or promoting the guild through advertising our shows.
While most of our activities revolve around the production and promotion of our two shows, our meetings also provide a forum for friendship, sharing ideas, informal critique of artwork, and demonstrations on painting techniques, etc.
