Minutes of Forgiven AGM

May 19, 2003

Present:

Merv and Ramona Cockerill, Shawn Allen, Steve and Kathy Depko. Sheryl Miller gave her regrets at not being able to attend

1-Ramona gave the opening prayer

2-Agenda was presented and accepted no additions were made

3-Shawn moved that we accept the minutes of last meeting as read. Steve seconded it carried.

4-Business Arising from Minutes-Kathy presented info regarding the CD that had been started. It was agreed that we need to get the DAT machine back from Tom Shapiro since it is evident that the CD won't go any farther at this point.

5-Financial Statement-Shawn reported on the finances. Shawn moved that the financial report be accepted as read, Steve seconded it, carried.

6-New Business-Kathy reported on Forgiven's activity in the past year. 27 events were done in 2002, and there were 16 events done to date in 2003 already. Kathy said that some opportunities had to be turned down because it was too busy for them to keep up with. Forgiven is at the jail twice a month at Waterston Centre once a month and at Rescue Mission once or twice a month (for the summer) as well. Salvation Army may want us again this year for an out door concert. We will know in July. Kathy moved the report be accepted, Shawn seconded it, carried .

Steve moved that we have Shawn authorized for on line banking which just means he can assess the account not access it for withdrawals. Shawn seconded it carried.

Shawn suggested we could get a computer for Forgiven for cheap, it was something to consider. He also suggested selling chocolate bars for a fundraiser but after discussion it did not seem the most effective way of raising money. Shawn said that he would use our brochures as he travels around for in the summer promoting Morning Star school in hopes of getting some exposure for the organization. Shawn suggested we talk to Lila Fenski from Morning Star to see if a drummer is available. Merv suggested Randal Donison for bass (attends One Spirit Church).
