Linda Fox was born and raised in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada. The Canadian prairies enjoy four distinct seasons which define the prairie landscape and those who live here. Spectacular skies dominate the flat, open prairie landscape with sun sparkling off snow banks or colourful sunsets ending a long, hot summer day.
Linda appreciates nature and the beauty of the prairies and uses outdoor activities such as hiking, biking and skiing to make the most of what each season offers. She takes her camera with her whenever possible recording bits of the landscape for painting later in the studio. Painting enables her to share her experiences and visions of the landscape around us.
With no formal training, Linda took an oil painting class at the University of Regina Extension in 1984 and has been painting ever since. She has taken several workshops in all mediums and experimented with many techniques. Her preference is to paint in oils or acrylics with landscapes as her subject.
Linda has been a member of The Regina North Artists Guild and Aurora Artist Guild and continues as a member of Brushworks Art Guild of Regina. She has shown and sold works through group and solo shows and has works in international collections, local government, business and private collections throughout the continent.
