My paintings are an expression of the beauty I see in nature from a single blade of grass to the huge canvas that is the land of the living skies. I also like to paint stories of people going about their daily lives. I have worked with acrylic, charcoal, oil and watercolour and eagerly await opportunities to explore other medium and other art forms. I am primarily self taught however I have attended workshops and participated in learning opportunities locally and online. Most of my paintings originate from photos I have taken myself and I find that being there and taking the photo allows me to give personal expression to what I paint. Although Regina has been my home for many years, my roots are in rural Saskatchewan and I love to go back to the small town I grew up in and to visit other small communities in our province.
