Shirley Guest

Shirley was born and raised on the prairies and has made Regina her home for the past 21 years. The Great Canadian North and the Prairies give her endless inspiration to depict the rugged, tranquil and ever-changing landscape. She enjoys painting the Living Skies, waters and the Mystical Northern Lights for which she is known.

Shirley's art evokes emotion and has been referred to as peaceful, meaningful, and serene. She always tries to re-kindle a memory for those that view her work. Shirley is mainly self-taught but has been painting for many years and has taken workshops from artists locally and afar. She began painting in the medium of watercolours and did for many years until she tried Acrylics, and so now paints in both Mediums.

Shirley is presently a member of Brushworks Art Guild, Art Gallery of Regina, and Scott Nicholson Fine Arts of Regina. Her works can be seen in private, corporate collections both locally and Internationally.
