I remember having an interest in making art even at a very young age.  The encouragement of my teachers throughout elementary and high school prompted me to declare art education and commercial art as my college majors.

I grew up in Iowa and lived throughout the Midwest while raising six wonderful children. Ten years ago I moved to Arizona.  The move allowed me to concentrate on my art and has given me many opportunities to sell my work.  I am so lucky to be able to live in Arizona in the winter and Regina in the summer months.  The art community in southern Saskatchewan has been very welcoming!

My favorite subjects to paint are people.  I enjoy capturing a mood or using color in unexpected ways.  I love the texture and flexibility of oil paint and the subtle variations that can be achieved with charcoal.
